So just how rich is Linda Ronstadt? Sources estimate that the current net worth of Linda reaches the sum of $115 million, accumulated from her long music career. Identifying just some of Linda Ronstadt’s musical releases also accounts for her net worth; in 1974 she earned $2 million from her album “Heart Like a Wheel” which was twice certified platinum; in 1976 Linda earned more than $7 million from her compilation album “Greatest Hits” which was certified platinum seven times; in 1977 – $3.2 million from her album “Simple Dreams” certified platinum three times; in 1983 – $3.1 from her album “What’s New” which was certified three times platinum; and in 1989 – $3.16 million from her album “Cry Like a Rainstorm, Howl Like the Wind” which was also certified three times platinum. Linda Ronstadt is the winner of an ALMA Award, Emmy Award, two Academy of Country Music awards, three America Music Awards and 11 Grammy Awards. She is also known as an actress who was nominated for such prestigious awards as Golden Globe and Tony.

Linda Ronstadt has been a very prolific artist, as during her career she has released 63 singles, 29 studio albums, 9 compilation albums, 10 music videos and 6 B-sides. In 1970s Linda was acknowledged as the most successful female singer who managed to redirect country music to pop and rock ‘n’ roll music. By the end of the 1970s, she was the highest paid woman in rock. Afterwards, she managed to express herself in opera, jazz and pop music. She is an inductee into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, and ultimately has sold more than 100 million albums, confirming her as one of the best-selling artists, male or female of all time.

What is more, during her career she appeared on the stages of theatre, television and film as an actress. She debuted in the episode of the series “It’s Happening” in 1968, and has since appeared in a number of series and films, with the most successful being the roles Mabel Stanley in the operetta “The Pirates of Penzance” (1981 – 1982) which brought her a Tony Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Musical, and again for the role of Mabel Stanley in the musical film “The Pirates of Penzance” (1983) directed by Wilford Leach which brought her a nomination for Golden Globe Award for the Best Actress.

Additionally, she collaborated and released three albums with fellow stars Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris, in 1987, 1999 and 2010, all attracting significant sales and helping to build her net worth.

Linda Ronstadt finally retired from performing in 2011, revealing that she was suffering from Parkinson’s disease which rendered her unable to continue singing.

In her personal life, although Linda Ronstadt has not been married she has adopted two children, a girl and a boy. She was in a long term relationship with California Governor Jerry Brown in the 1970s, and subsequently with actor Jim Carrey. Linda was engaged to film director George Lucas in the 1980s.
