If you’re a creator, it can be challenging to make a living online. Unless you have a huge support base, you are unlikely to make sufficient money from paid advertising or selling merch from your website. However, many successful creators have discovered that Patreon offers a relatively painless way for their fans to support them.

As we discovered in our Patreon review, the crowdfunding platform allows creators to earn money while calling their own shots. Most Patreon creators set membership tiers, making a different offer for each level. Not all Patreon creators publish their earnings, but Graphtreon has extracted figures for those who make their returns public and made some estimates for those who keep their data private. For example, the creator with the second-highest number of patrons (37,778) is Chapo Trap House. They are currently averaging $167,779 per month from their patrons, which averages out at $4.44 per patron.

In this list, we check out the top 10 creators on Patreon. You will notice that podcasts are by far the most successful medium on Patreon, followed by videos.
